Very lazy

I'm writing this post to admit my laziness over the past month. Well I can easily admit I have been lazy but also I have not been up to much to write about. My life in Port Douglas had become a routine and I was enjoying that. I was working two jobs and spent my evenings at home with the girls.
On valentines day which was a few days ago and I hope you all had a good time, the girls and I decided to have a girls night in with some Indian take away. It was a very pleasant evening with lots of story telling and secret sharing. It's definitely a valentines day I will remember for ever, unfortunately we did not take any photos as we all finished work pretty late and it was too late to dress up and take photos but I guess I don't need photos to remember a good night.
I am currently in Melbourne, left port Douglas on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed my last night eating lots of home made crepes by Gaelle and having a good laugh about everything. I feel sad and will miss Port Douglas and the beautiful people I met there but it was time for me to move on.
During my last few days in port Douglas I met a lovely lady by the name of Anette who came to the ice cream shop to use the Internet. She has been having difficulty with her bank and I offered to help her with some emails. We got talking about our plans and she asked me how I was making my way to the airport. The thing is Port Douglas doesn't have an airport and I booked myself a shuttle bus to take me there. The bus cost $32 one way and when Anette found out she insisted on taking me to the airport, I refused her offer as I would have felt uncomfortable ruining someone else's afternoon in order to drive me 55 kilometres to the airport. Anette was not backing down easily and when the bus company agreed to refund me the money I agreed to go with Anette. This was another lovely incident where I met a beautiful intelligent lady who wished for nothing but to return a favour. When I asked her I didn't do you any favours she simply replied "a small help from may have seemed nothing to you but you saved my day and I'd like to thank you and take you to the airport."
We had a lovely drive to Cairns city and stopped at a market where we bought sugar cane and coconut drinks and some Thai food for lunch. After lunch Anette kindly drove me to the airport where I said goodbye to east coast and travelled south.
I have now been to three states in Australia. New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. I have met lots of people on the way and experienced lots of great adventures. I still feel home sick but I wouldn't change a second of this trip to Australia.
I will be in Melbourne until Tuesday morning where I catch a flight back to Sydney.
I will make sure to keep you posted about Melbourne.
